About Jack's DOGs

Text Box: Who We Are:
The dogs that participate with Jack's Dogs are nationally registered AKC Canine Good Citizens and Delta Society Pet Partners. Our dogs provide therapy to those in need. We are encouraged to be creative and develop bonds with our clients. This is the way we do our best work. Incidentally, most of Jack’s DOGs were rescued from shelters and, otherwise, deemed un-trainable! Dogs, even those unwanted, can teach us all about patience, unconditional love, and untapped abilities if we only open our eyes to possibilities. This is called dogabilityTM.
Text Box: Our Purpose:
We at Jack's DOGs have identified a common thread in families of children with special needs who, usually because of age, cannot get companion or assistance dogs. So often, they wish a family pet could fill the gap with emotional and physical therapies, companionship, and bits of assistance. The common thread is that their levels of stress, whether it be emotional, physical, or financial, prohibit them from successfully training a dog on their own.
We want to help these families achieve realistic results by showing them simplified training skills and helping them recognize their pets' "dogability."
